The last great war has been fought — but you wouldn’t know it here in the deep desert of what was once America. The sun beats down as it always has and always will on this unforgiving landscape. The few inhabitants of this land — oblivious and uncaring about the greater events in what was once a more civilized world — all except one.

Months after the disappearance of her daughter, Emily — Jess Flood has resigned herself to daily survival when the unexpected happens: a radio signal from an unknown man playing music. Jess makes contact with Tony Myles, surviving on a boat offshore — caught at sea after the war began.

As they find their predicaments approaching something humanly bearable, Jess finds something that could lead her to Emily. Jess follows the trail as Tony waits in solitude, his mind dwelling over his missing crew mates.

The trail leads Jess to a derelict desert town, while Tony makes his own troubling discoveries. What will happen to them — as danger surrounds? roguemoonproductions.com

The Dawn of a New Epic Tale - Helios

This was the perfect listen for my flight from DFW to Tampa! The way the characters were revealed had me bought in prior to knowing what the challenge was. An obvious hook that drove desire to hear what was next. The voiceover acting and narration was exceptional. Can't wait to hear this epic tale continue. The possibilities are endless with Helios!

Rich and Immersive - I Want More Helios!

Very compelling story; well paced and intriguing. I was drawn into the characters quickly and was eager to hear more about them. The current story works as a stand-alone piece, but I am eager to hear more from the Helios universe.

The voice work was terrific, with a special nod to the lead, Cindy. She had some emotional stuff to do and it was terrific - not overdone, but intense when needed and believable all the time. Same can be said for Anthony. And I was happy to hear some familiar voices in the rest of the cast. Getting all those people was a coup. (I will never complain about any Nick Tate voice work!)

The audio was terrific overall including the music and sound effects. I felt a lot of connectivity between the music and some film classics - I don't know if I imagined that or if it was intentional. In any case, it was a great contribution to the project. The chapter titles are clearly intended to recall some classics, so perhaps that's what I was feeling in the music, but the music cues did feel very intentional and I enjoyed them.

I highly recommend Helios. I look forward to more of it!
